Stretch leather leggings are part of our uniform, day in and day out. We wear them with everything from our favourite blazers, knitwear and basic t-shirts, to trainers and high heels. This wardrobe staple (and an investment piece) is extremely versatile, easy-to-wear and simple to style for an instantly effortless cool look and rock’n’roll flair – just the way we like it here at MERCER7.
If you ever wondered how to clean your 100% leather leggings and were under the impression that they are a bit high maintenance and need to be constantly dry-cleaned, here is a little tip which we hope you find useful. Follow our steps below:
- Simply soak your pair of leather leggings in warm water for 5 minutes.
- Make sure that they are completely saturated in water and then immediately take them out.
- Put them in the tumble dryer on a high heat until they are completely dry. And voilà, your pair of leggings are back in shape!
If you find your pair a bit stretched out after a couple of wears (because that’s just the nature of leather), just toss them in the dryer without soaking them, and after 45 minutes, they will fit much better and more snug.
Side note / Since stretch leather leggings tend to be on a pricier side and are more of an investment, we think that IRIS & INK ones are the perfect option for £325 – well made and reasonably priced for this particular key item. However, we also offer you options from luxury brands that you can choose from below.
